Sarah Spearman is a passionate advocate with a lifelong career in nonprofit management. Her dedication spans across various important causes, including civil liberties protection, animal welfare, and currently, advocacy for older adults at Pima Council on Aging (PCOA). Sarah’s work is centered on ensuring that older adults receive the support and resources they need to live fulfilling lives.
At PCOA, Sarah serves as VP of Philanthropy and Communications, where she supports programs like Visibility Matters. This initiative addresses the unique needs of LGBTQI+ older adults by helping service providers learn the tools needed to support LGBTQI+ older adults and their families, with a special focus on advance care planning and skill sets for serving LGBTQI+ people with dementia. Sarah is dedicated to working to create an inclusive community for all.
