Sarah Spearman is a passionate advocate with a lifelong career in nonprofit management. Sarah’s work is centered on ensuring that older adults receive the support and resources they need to live fulfilling lives.

At PCOA, Sarah serves as VP of Philanthropy and Communications, where she supports programs like Visibility Matters. This initiative addresses the unique needs of LGBTQI+ older adults by helping service providers learn the tools needed to support LGBTQI+ older adults and their families, with a special focus on advance care planning and skill sets for serving LGBTQI+ people with dementia. Sarah is dedicated to working to create an inclusive community for all.

Ashley La Russa currently serves on the Local First Arizona Steering Committee, WFSA Annual Luncheon Committee, and Board of Directors at the CITY Center for Collaborative Learning (CITY CCL). Ashley partners with owners of hotels, co-working spaces, and event venues to strategically plan how to serve the community as a whole. In 2018, she was the Projects Manager at Downtown Tucson Partnership (DTP) where she actively communicated upcoming events and programs to the community. Chad grew up in Vail, Colorado skiing, ranching, and doing bookkeeping for his mother’s retail stores. He moved to Eugene, Oregon in 2004 to begin his college education, but was drawn to the desert and the University of Arizona when visiting his father in 2007. Chad moved to Tucson and finished his degree in Accounting at the UofA in 2010 and has been working in small to mid-sized accounting firms ever since. Bruce Caulkins, founder and president of Pawsitive Vibes, was born and raised in Galesburg, Illinois. An artist educated at the School of the Art Institute in Chicago, Bruce has worked managerial retail for 30+ years. Pawsitive Vibes is the result of years of planning and research, and a desire to create a unique, inherently Tucson local business with quality dog and cat products unavailable at big box retail. I am a Board Member of the Friends of the Pima County Library.  We are a nonprofit group with over 200 volunteers and 1,400 members who celebrate and promote a literate community by supporting and funding programs offered through the Pima County Library. We host community used book sales monthly and sell books online, and through these sales we contribute more than $200,000 annually to the library. 

Lisa Shipek is a founding member of Watershed Management Group and has served as the Executive Director since 2006. Lisa directs fundraising, strategic development, financial planning, community engagement, and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion activities for WMG. Later, he and his wife Jen opened a classroom for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), specializing in medication administration classes (CRMA). They now live in Tucson, where they founded Novis Vita, a licensed outpatient behavioral health treatment center. Cedric serves as the managing partner and administrator.
