Stonewall Series: Rachel Mindell

"Bi is Not a Bad Word"

Rachel Mindell will facilitate a conversation about bisexuality in terms of historical representation, literature, visibility and erasure, stereotypes and stigma, and queer nomenclature. She will also share creative work engaging with this facet of her own identify and offer resources for further literary investigation into the topic.

Rachel Mindell is the author of two chapbooks, and has poems (soon or already) in Denver Quarterly, DIAGRAM, Forklift, Ohio, BOAAT, The Journal, and elsewhere. She holds graduate degrees from the University of Montana, and works for both Submittable and the University of Arizona Poetry Center.

The Stonewall Series is an LGBTQ+ author and speaker series presented by the Pima County Public Library LGBTQ+ Services Committee. This program takes place in the month of June to commemorate the 1969 riots at the Stonewall Inn, and the ongoing fight for equal rights for all people in the LGBTQ+ community.
