Yvette Jackson, Assistant Executive Director for Devereux in Arizona, will be joining us this month to talk about mental health in the workplace.
Yvette received her Master’s degree in social work from Arizona State University (ASU) and most recently her doctorate in behavioral health. She manages the statewide operations for Devereux Arizona ($36m operating budget) consisting of a broad continuum of services ranging from Prevention Services to Residential Treatment. She is the chair of Devereux’s National LGBTQ+ Taskforce, which has increased the LGBTQ cultural competency of the organization across the country. Yvette is a national training consultant for the Human Rights Campaign’s All Children, All Families Initiative. In 2015, Yvette was given the leadership in LGBTQ healthcare award in Arizona.
In addition to her professional work with Devereux, Yvette has served on several non-profit Boards since 2003 where she has held leadership positions. Yvette has chaired the finance committees of Planned Parenthood of Southern Arizona and Tucson Centers for Women and Children (AKA Emerge) and Arizona List (current). She also served in a leadership role on the Board of Directors for Wingspan, Tucson’s LGBTQ community center from 2008 – 2011.
